Experience Requirements

Colorado does not require prior salesperson experience to become a broker. All licensees in Colorado are brokers.

Colorado is unique in that there is no separate salesperson license - all licensed real estate professionals are brokers.

Education Requirements

Complete 168 hours of qualifying education from a nationally accredited community college or university, or a school approved by the Colorado Department of Private and Occupational Schools (DPOS).

Required Courses:

Licensed attorneys only need 12 hours of pre-licensing education.
