Terms of Service
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Effective date: September 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Real Estate License Guides (www.realestatelicenseguides.com) and the other License Guide Network websites that link to these Terms (together, the “Sites”). The Sites are operated by The License Guide LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Agreement to these Terms
By using the Sites, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Sites. Use of our data API is also governed by our API Terms, which control if they conflict with these Terms.
2. Informational use only: not legal or professional advice
The Sites provide general information about professional licensing requirements, fees, exams, schools, and related topics. We are not a government agency or licensing board, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any licensing board unless we say so explicitly. Nothing on the Sites is legal, career, financial, or other professional advice.
Licensing rules, fees, and deadlines change often, and our information may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always confirm requirements directly with the official licensing board or agency before you act. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
License information and lookup links on the Sites are not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Don’t use them to decide anyone’s eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any other purpose covered by that Act. Use the official board records or an FCRA-compliant screening provider instead.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Sites in violation of any law or anyone else’s rights;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Sites’ content by automated means, except through our API under the API Terms or through search-engine indexing that follows our robots.txt;
- interfere with, overload, probe, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the Sites;
- present our content as official government information, or copy or republish substantial portions of it without our written permission;
- submit false information or someone else’s personal information in our forms.
4. Our content
The Sites’ text, compilations of data, design, logos, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to view and use the Sites for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Brief quotations with attribution and a link are welcome. Government documents we link to belong to their publishers.
5. Sponsored listings and affiliate links
Some schools pay us for sponsored placement or for inquiries, and those listings are labeled “Sponsored.” Some links to exam-prep and education providers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Sponsorship and commissions do not change the licensing requirements we report, and a sponsored listing is not an endorsement or a ranking of quality.
6. Third-party websites
The Sites link to licensing boards, schools, exam providers, and other third-party websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, products, or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, WAGES, OPPORTUNITIES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITES OR THESE TERMS, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON INFORMATION ON THE SITES (FOR EXAMPLE, A MISSED DEADLINE, DENIED APPLICATION, OR UNEXPECTED FEE), EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON’T ALLOW CERTAIN OF THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY APPLY TO YOU ONLY TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Sites or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else’s rights.
10. Suspension and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Sites, or block access by anyone who violates these Terms, at any time. Sections 2 and 4 through 12 survive any termination.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or related to the Sites or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in the State of Washington, and you and we consent to their personal jurisdiction. Either party may bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
12. General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and (if you use our API) the API Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Sites. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and for material changes we’ll post a notice on the Sites before they take effect. Changes don’t apply to disputes that arose before they took effect. Continuing to use the Sites after changes take effect means you accept them.
