Experience Requirements
Actively engaged as a licensed real estate salesperson in Connecticut for at least 3 years with minimum 1,500 hours
Alternative Pathways:
- Must have represented seller, buyer, lessor, or lessee in at least 4 closed transactions
Experience must be under supervision of a Connecticut licensed broker.
Education Requirements
Complete 120 hours of approved pre-licensing education including mandatory classroom Legal Compliance course.
Required Courses:
- Real Estate Principles and Practices Course (60 hours)
- Real Estate Brokerage Principles and Practices Course (15 hours)
- Legal Compliance Course (15 hours, classroom required)
- Two 15-hour pre-license elective courses, OR one 30-hour appraisal/elective course
May substitute elective courses if evidence of 20+ real estate transactions completed in previous 5 years.
