Experience Requirements
Must have accumulated at least 3 years of experience (out of the previous 5 years) as a licensed real estate salesperson under the supervision of a Hawaii-based broker
Alternative Pathways:
Must obtain an Experience Certificate from HIREC before taking the examination. Experience Certificate is valid for 2 years.
Education Requirements
Complete a minimum of 80 class hours of broker pre-licensing education conforming to the approved curriculum adopted by the commission.
Required Courses:
- Commission-approved broker pre-licensing curriculum (80 hours minimum)
- Must be completed at an accredited institution
School Completion Certificate is valid for 2 years from issuance.
