3 years of real estate experience as a licensed salesperson

Alternative Pathways:

  • Qualified to practice law in Maryland (experience requirement waived)

Experience must be verified prior to broker license issuance.

Education Requirements

Complete 135 hours of MREC-approved broker pre-licensing education, including minimum 3 hours of real estate ethics.

Required Courses:

  • MREC-approved broker pre-licensing courses (135 hours)
  • Real Estate Ethics (at least 3 hours) - mandatory

Must present Certificate of Completion at exam site. Original or notarized copies of transcripts required for PSI.
