Must be a Mississippi resident when the application is submitted. A 30-hour post-license course is required within 12 months.

License Renewal

16 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Renewal fee is $120 (effective October 1, 2026); a late renewal carries a 100% penalty.

License Reciprocity

Mississippi offers reciprocal/non-resident licensure and may waive the exam where a current agreement exists; the specific state roster is not published (agreements vary - contact the Commission). The Universal Recognition of Occupational Licenses Act also applies.
