South Carolina Real Estate Agent License

Complete 90 education hours: 60-hour Unit I before examination and 30-hour Unit II before license issuance.

Unit II may be completed after passing the exam, but both courses are required before the license is issued.

Fee Breakdown

Listed fees include only the $25 Commission application and $50 initial license. The current PSI examination price, required background checks, and education are additional; confirm provider charges before budgeting.

License Renewal

Active associates and brokers complete 10 hours every two years: four core and six elective. Brokers-in-charge instead complete four core, four BIC, and two elective hours. Up to four elective hours may carry forward.

License Reciprocity

South Carolina has reciprocity agreements with Georgia and North Carolina. Georgia residents meeting GA CE requirements may be exempt from SC CE.
