Experience Requirements

Minimum 12 months as a licensed salesperson on active status immediately prior to applying

Alternative Pathways:

  • 150 hours of real estate college courses acceptable toward a degree at an accredited institution

Must be actively licensed as a Mississippi salesperson.

Education Requirements

Complete 120 hours of pre-licensing education approved by MREC. Alternative: 150 hours of college-level real estate courses in lieu of salesperson experience.

Required Courses:

  • 120 hours of MREC-approved pre-licensing broker courses
  • Broker A and Broker B courses available through Mississippi REALTORS Institute

Must complete 30-hour Broker Post-License course within 12 months of temporary license issuance.
