Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years as licensed salesperson with either 20 closed transactions in 2 years or 40 closed transactions over any period
Alternative Pathways:
- Attorney at law with Certificate of Good Standing from WV State Bar
Closed transaction includes sales and leases of at least one year duration where applicant represented seller, buyer, or both.
Education Requirements
Complete 90 hours of pre-license education if already licensed as salesperson in WV. 180 hours if not currently licensed.
Required Courses:
- 90 hours of Commission-approved real estate courses
Education must be completed within 5 years preceding application. Attorneys may receive education waiver.
