Experience Requirements
At least 2 years practicing as licensed salesperson under direct supervision of a licensed broker within the past 4 years
Alternative Pathways:
- Wisconsin attorneys: 1 year and 20 experience points
- Board may consider out-of-state experience
Must document at least 40 experience points (5 per residential and 10 per commercial transaction; property management 0.5 point per month; 1 point per time share).
Education Requirements
Complete 72-hour broker pre-license course within 4 years prior to application.
Required Courses:
- 72-hour pre-license course for brokers
Also requires the 72-hour salesperson education, 10 qualifying credits, or a current Wisconsin salesperson license. Alternative for the broker course: 20 semester-hour credits in real estate from an accredited institution.
