Delaware Real Estate Broker License

Must have been actively licensed as a salesperson and/or broker in Delaware or another jurisdiction for five continuous years immediately before filing application, with three years of active practice immediately before application.

Must submit Sales or Lease Transaction Listing form documenting 30 sales or lease transactions completed during the five years preceding application.

Complete 99 hours of Delaware broker's pre-licensing education from an approved provider.

Must pass the end-of-course exam with 75% or higher. Apply within 12 months of completing the course, otherwise prorated continuing education is owed.

Listed fees: $248 application + $88 exam = $336. A $192 main-office permit applies when the broker opens an office, and the $25 Guaranty Fund fee applies if never paid. Course costs are excluded.

Delaware licenses out-of-state brokers from any jurisdiction (no fixed state roster) who pass the Delaware broker state portion, are at least 23, and have 30 transactions in the preceding 5 years. Experience from other jurisdictions counts toward the 5-year requirement.
